About ResusRight - For safer birth
ResusRight was founded by a group of clinicians and engineers with a shared mission to create technology that empowers clinicians to deliver high-quality care at birth. ResusRight’s first product was designed to revolutionise the way clinicians train for neonatal resuscitation by giving real-time, objective insight into mask technique, volume delivery and ventilatory rate.
ResusRight is also conducting R&D into a clinical monitor to assist during resuscitation at birth, to support clinicians by ensuring every baby gets the best start to life.
What is the company focused on now?
While continuing to develop its neonatal resuscitation technology, ResusRight was also working on the transaction of an asset of strategic value to the company.
With a lot of the team’s focus and resources allocated to the transaction, the company faced the challenge of balancing it with its R&D efforts and day-to-day operations.
Why did they seek an R&D Loan? What did it help them achieve?
With their R&D efforts making up a significant portion of their expenses, they needed additional working capital to ensure the business had the capital available to fund the daily running of the business. Raising more equity capital wasn’t an ideal solution at the time, as they didn’t want to dilute ownership. Knowing their R&D refund was due in six months, they turned to Kashcade to access it early. The R&D Loan allowed them to access the capital they needed immediately, ensuring their operations could continue without interruption while they pursued their strategic goal.

Our experience with Kashcade was seamless. The application process was extremely simple and took very little time from our management team. At a time when we were focused on a strategic transaction, this was critical.
